Now, before we get started, I want to share some optional products that you might be interested in. 1st thing, you will need VPN to stay secure online. Especially while using Kodi and external plugins. So, here’s the list you might want to try out.
VPN Services:
- ExpressVPN: Known for its strong security and fast speeds, ideal for streaming.
- NordVPN: Offers a wide range of server locations and robust security features.
- Surfshark: Budget-friendly VPN with decent speeds and strong privacy features.
2nd thing, you may need some hardware that work really well with Kodi. Have a check if some of devices you already own. If you do, ignore this list. But if you don’t, you might wanna consider it.
Kodi Hardware:
- Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max: A popular streaming device that can run Kodi.
- NVIDIA Shield TV Pro: A high-performance streaming device for a premium Kodi experience.

Once you launch Kodi, you will see this window.

In order for Jio TV Kodi Addon to work, you need to disable the “Auto Updates”.
To disable that, Go to settings > System > Add-ons > General “Updates: Never Check for Updates”

Now you need to enable unknown sources. We need to install add-ons here. For that you need to enable the unknown sources option, right below the Updates option.
Step 4: Install Third Party Addon
First, you need to download the 3rd party Add-on from here – repository.kiranreddyrebel.zip
Once you have downloaded it, save it in Downloads folder, or anywhere, where you can easily access it.
Next, go to Kodi Home screen, and go to addon, and from there choose “Install from zip”.
From here choose the downloaded zip file and click on OK.
Once the installation is done, you will see this message

Open that, and choose any channel you like.
When you click on the any channel, you will be prompted to login to Jio Tv.
Use you Jio Sim number and login via OTP.
Once logged in, you will be prompted to install WideWine. Go ahead and install WideWine and click on “I Agree”.
Once WideWine is installed, Jio Tv will launch.
Let’s try watching a regional channel.
Note: Sony Liv Tv and many other channels aren’t working yet, but other channels are working fine. I will try to find the solution for Sony Liv soon and update it here.
Hope you like it. This method was posted on GitHub – https://github.com/kiranreddyrebel.
