In this tutorial, I am going to show you How to Set Up a Free VPN for Windows 10 and Android devices. So, let’s get started on How to Set up Best Free VPN for Windows.
Most of the time Free VPN can be used to protect your privacy and also to Watch Live TV on Kodi.
Finding a Service for Free VPN for Windows 10
Our first task here is to find a Free VPN service for Windows 10 that gives unlimited data access, not like any paid VPN which gives only limited data access in megabytes or hours.
So, I did some research and found that there is a VPN that gives unlimited free access called VPN Book.
So, here’s what you have to do. Go to VPN Book’s main website https://www.vpnbook.com/. From there you can see that there is a Free option or Free VPN available Click on that.
From there, you can see that we have another option, more like a list of VPNs to choose from. In my case, I am choosing the first one Free PPTP VPN. you can choose the one you like. If you want to follow along make sure you choose the same as I do.
Okay, in that section I am going to use the France Server: fr1.vpnbook.com
Here, you can also see that we have a username & password. You might want to save the credentials for later use.
For me username is vpnbook and the password is 9ntas3c, check if it’s the same for you.
Now, we need to move to the next section.
Setting up Windows PC for VPN Book
Now on Windows PC, I am using Windows 10, you might be on Windows 11. Go to the search and look for a VPN.
Now click on the VPN Settings and you will see the following Window.
Here, you can see that we have an Add a VPN Connection highlighted. Click on that and you will see the following setting.
This is where our VPN Server, Username, and Password comes in handy.
In the Provider field, select Windows (built-in).
In the Connection Name field, enter VPN Book.
In the Server name or address field, enter the server name we chose, in my case it’s fr1.vpnbook.com
In the VPN type field, select Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP).
In the Type of sign-in info field, select User Name and Password.
In the Username field, enter the username we chose, in my case it’s vpnbook, and in the Password field, enter the chosen password, again in my case it’s 9ntas3c.
Check the checkbox Remember my info and click save.
Once you click on the save button, you should see this window.
Now, our VPN Book is ready to use on our PC. Click on the VPN Book and click on connect. You will see the following Window.
Once the VPN Book is connected, you will see this Window.
Now it’s time to test our location. Let’s go to https://my-location.org/ and click on allow. You will see something like this.
Well, I can tell you one thing. I am not in France.
You can use the same settings on Android and it will work fine.
